The Story
Eight years an apprentice,
open since 2019
Broloklok's founder spent eight years as an apprentice, learning Johor Bahru-style lok lok barbecue, and opened 串哥哥 in November 2019 to serve fried and grilled skewers.
Today there are more than 100 ingredients to choose from — fresh vegetables, meat and seafood — served with house sauces and simple seasoning that brings out the natural flavour of each one.

Broloklok delivers a bustling, lively late-night spot with a strong food-first appeal, especially around 8pm when the atmosphere is at its peak. The outdoor seating is spacious and airy, while the indoor area offers air-conditioning and a clean toilet, making it a comfortable place to linger despite the crowd.
Came back here for the camping vibes. Great skewers and a huge selection of sauces for your lok lok. Sit outside when the weather is good for maximum feels. Food is by no means “healthy”, but who cares.
One of the better lok lok I had in JB. A wide variety to choose from and service is really fast. Liked it that there is a aircon place to sit and eat in comfort. Will definitely visit again.
